mars3d's Issues

Some feedback about the source port.

First off, i would like to say how much i appreciate this project, as i didn't think anybody would make a source port for a game as obscure as Mars 3D, and it's nice to not require DosBox to play it anymore.

However, i do have some things i would like to see addressed in future updates, namely:

  • You can't see your cursor in the menus.
  • There's no proper windowed mode; turning off fullscreen just leaves you with the game sitting on upper left corner of the screen, with no title bar to move it around.
  • There's no way to toggle sprinting on and off, meaning you have to hold shift the entire time you want to sprint.

All in all, i think this is a very promising source port, and i think it's shaping up to be the optimal way to play Mars 3D on modern systems.

[Request] Detailed list of required files

The DOS release comes with a lot of files and many certainly are not required to run this port (e.g. any of the old .exe binaries). It would be nice to have a list with the exact lineup of all Mars3D data files which are needed.
