Welcome to Marker, a platform crafted to simplify your web browsing. The platform aims to allow users to organize their interests effortlessly through folders, each containing a selection of websites tailored to a specific interest.

As a user, you can share insights into your interests, accompanied by your top 5 go-to websites for that category. Marker's unique feature lies in its ability to compile information from these submitted websites and provide personalized suggestions based on their metadata.

This projects uses React + Vite, Node.js, Tailwind CSS, React Router DOM, and React Icons. We've already setup most of the project to include the technologies so the installation is seamless.

First thing is to fork the Marker project:

Open up your termanial and clone your forked project onto your system:

  git clone [email protected]:Justin-Bento/marker.git

Make sure to change directories into the marker folder. Once your termnal has makrer at the end Install the dependencies with the latest version of nodejs run the command Npm Run Dev.

  git clone [email protected]:Justin-Bento/marker.git

  cd ~/development/marker

  npm install

If any packages are outdated we will notify people inside the discussions pannel inside the project

Pull requests are welcome. For major changes, please open an issue first to discuss what you would like to change.
