cc22mw's Issues

Failed to run:

Hi Professor @jtr13 - I am unable to run color_deficiency after accepting the merge request. It says: 'The file 'color_deficiency' does not exist', but I look at the branch that it was merged from and the jtr13-cc22mw-bookdown_yml and it has the file too. I also asked the student to update their our bookdown to add the '.Rmd' since I only added 'color_deficiency' by mistake.

What next steps should I take?

Trouble with #74

Having trouble running #74

The run isn't building the site, and I don't know how to get past this message.

Fail to run after merging #26 and #50

Hi Professor @jtr13 - How do I know if something should be on imports or remote? The jobs below are failing to run because the packages cannot be installed even after I followed directions here.

What should I do?

Update instructions for pull request mergers

Update: I changed the settings for the repo so there is now an option to "update branch" on each pull request. This hopefully will make it much easier to change the _bookdown.yml file without creating conflicts. The new procedure is:

Once the authors have made all requested changes and the chapter is ready to be merged, click "update branch" and then simply add the .Rmd file to _bookdown.yml in the proper place on the branch.

In addition, add any libraries used to the DESCRIPTION file on the branch.

Then merge the pull request.

It would be great if someone could open a pull request to update the instructions here https://github.com/jtr13/cc22mw/blob/main/appendix_pull_request_tutorial.Rmd and then someone else reviews and merges it.
