In the library, there are problably many places where memory is dynamically allocated to copy a string but the size of the memory asked is the string length, i.e. there's not enough memory to stored the '\0' that terminated the string. Let's fix this.

The library does not always implement functions to delete items from data structures, or frees memory after functions or other pieces of work have finished. We should implement delete functions where need and check for memory leaks.
