This could be an infra issue but I'm filing it here.

We need to set up the DNS so that irc.jquery.org works.

We also need to set up the proper redirects so that the old .com urls will continue to work, and so that the existing logging infra continues to work, e.g., http://irc.jquery.com/%23jquery/ moves to http://irc.jquery.org/%23jquery/, but still lives out of wordpress.

It isn't clear from this site: http://irc.jquery.org/irc-help/ that the IRC server should use irc.freenode.net. This issue is to add that text to the site.

Search probably gives the distinct impression that it will allow searching the IRC logs, which, for the forseeable future, it won't. Should we get rid of the search box on this site?

It might be a good idea to expand the CoC to include language that covers cases like us assisting with things like piracy/warez, academic dishonesty (i.e. cheating), and other similar behavior, even if it's possible that the actions aren't necessarily "wrong", but they aren't totally "right", either.

We include a provision that says to listen to mods and follow the CoC in spirit, but I don't see anything that explicitly prohibits these kinds of behaviors.

Before I start getting into gear here, I'm curious to see what others have to say. Am I missing any topics that might warrant explicit mention? Should we not worry about this at all?

Given current events happening within Freenode, is there interest in migrating any channels over to Libera or another network/platform?

http://irc.jquery.org/irc-help/ suggests specific IRC clients, but doesn't explain how to connect to freenode and the individual channels once installed.

Not sure what the best option is here, as it may be worth keeping the logs on to the channel, but I think we need to either remove the link to the channel and/or say that it is no longer used. We could add that the ui-dev channel is used for jQuery UI and jQuery Mobile development chat?
