The terrain feature exists to hold information about a terrain or a "map"

It's proposed as a Geometry type with the geometry reflecting the HiRez area in the ME

This would also have a BBox that represents the Map Bounds in the editor.

Feature Type:
Geometry

Feature Properties:

• id: string - DCS Terrain ID
• name: string - Display name
• projection: string - Mercator Projection string for x/y conversion.

Although I mostly enjoy flying, I am interested more and more in making missions. I happened across your project but am a bit of a noob so I dont know how to approach "the goal to get a global database of DCS information for use in external mission editors and so DCS data can be generated easily."

I have most of the maps so I could do this. How does one begin?

The aerodrome feature exists to hold information about an airbase.

Note Aerodrome Features should be separate features I.e. parking spots or runways with one of the associated properties being big Aerodrome id.

Point

The aerodrome point representing its centre.

Feature Properties:

• id: number - DCS Aerodrome ID
• name: string - Display name
