flatpak-dxx-rebirth

Flatpak packaging for DXX-Rebirth

This contains the flatpak build manifest files for DXX-Rebirth.

Currently it only builds d1x-rebirth. d2x-rebirth will get its own manifest file, to be installed as a separate app.

The DXX-Rebirth source code from https://github.com/JoeNotCharles/dxx-rebirth, which is a fork of https://github.com/dxx-rebirth/dxx-rebirth containing minimal changes needed for the flatpak build.

Cloning

This includes submodules, so clone with git clone --recursive. If you've already cloned and the shared-modules subdir is empty, use git submodule update --init to fetch them.

Building

To build, use the flatpak-builder command as described at https://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/first-build.html.

midi support is missing

The copy of SDL2 that's build into the flatpak base SDK doesn't include midi. Probably need to compile a copy of SDL2 into the flatpak that overrides it, unless there's some way to enable it at runtime.

Publish to flathub

Once all is working, add an appdata file (https://docs.flatpak.org/en/latest/freedesktop-quick-reference.html#appdata-files) and submit to flathub

Package d2x-rebirth

The current manifest only includes d1x-rebirth. Once it's working, d2x-rebirth should just be a copy and paste. Maybe move shared setup into a module.
