[DEAD] Zoomy JavaScript based loosely on Fancy Zoom by Cabel Sasser.
Does it work with IE6?
Works great with 1.8.1, as soon as you upgrade to 1.8.2 it stops working completely.
Love this script but it crashes IE 8 for me. Anyone having similar issues?
Hello!
I really like fancyzoom, it's clean and nice.
For a project I needed a callback-function when the zoom completed.
I fixed this callback function with some lines of code.
I'm all new to this with github so I really don't know how (or if) I should contrib this code to the project..
Anyway, if someone needs a callback, just do this:
On line 6 (beneath "var directory = options && options.directory ? options.directory : 'images';"). Add the following code:
var callback = options && options.callback ? options.callback : function(){};
And on line 120 (beneath "zoom_content.html(content_div.html());") add this:
callback();
Thats all, hope this helps someone.
I noticed that other page elements sometimes overlay the popup window. I had to add a z-index value to the zoom div style. I though this would already have been implemented. Maybe I'm missing something.
the animation is broken in ie6 & ie7 -- any help is greatly appreciated.
Firefox bug. All the animations generate from the top left of the screen, instead of relative to the element clicked when using jquery 1.4.4.
This may have been addressed before and I apologize if it has.
I have a simple form displaying with client-side validation. However, my submit button will not work inside the div that displays within the fancyZoom box. Outside the hidden div it works perfectly. Anybody else encounter this and know of a solution?
For example:
Inside my lightbox's HTML I have a input field which I want to use as a autocomplete field. This is done by using jquery-ui.
So I have something like this:
<div id="lightbox">
<input type="text"/>
</div>
Next I setup autocomplete:
$("#lightbox").autocomplete({source:["foo","bar"]});
And FancyZoom
$("a.light").fancyZoom();
This sadly doesn't work with fancyzoom. I'm guessing that FancyZoom copies the element contained within the #lightbox element.
In firefox you can see the data that has been bound to an element. The original #lightbox input's element has data bound to it (for the autocomplete).
But once you fire up FancyZoom the elements are copied and there is no data bound to the copied elements.
Is there a work around for this issue ? I was thinking of a callback method to be called when the lighbox is completely loaded.
$('selection').fancyZoom({"callback": function() {});
This seems to work with jquery 1.2.6, the version used in their sample files, but not with more recent copies. YMMV.
When showing a fancyZoom'ed html fragment in a zoom box the input fields are copied, so any changes to those are not synced with the copied source.... Ideally, fancyZoom would resync input,select,textarea elements with the original copied html nodes...
Really like your fancyzoom have been using it for a while. I have also just started Object Oriented CSS (OOCSS) but found that some of the class names conflicted.
I fixed it by changing by prefixing the names for classes like tl, tr, br, bl, etc. with fz. Such that
fztl, fztr, fzbr, fzbl. Just thought I would let you know.
Thanks and keep up the good work.
Hi,
I'm using fancy zoom on a list of items. Therefore, an item box also contains a large image of the item. Unfortunately, sometimes the page is a little slow to load, and all large pictures are displayed (<1s of course, but still visible). If I add a "display:none" to large pics (or surrounding divs), the zoom popup gets moved to the right of the page.
I'd also like to have a nice page when javascript is disabled (we never know), so I need this display:none option :(
Any idea to to fix this issue ?
Thanks !
I was trying to zoom a jquery.cycle element and it doesn't seem to work. I've seen that other scripts like colorbox have a callback when the zoom is done so you can execute javascript at theat point, that would be a nice addition.
