The overlayfs mounts for mnt/iso/rw and mnt/rootrfs/rw no longer work as-is with the Ubuntu vendor kernel 3.19.

Two things are happening:

• The 'workdir' mount parameter is now required; see branch add-overlay-workdir commit a532a29 for a solution. This is back tested to work with kernel 3.13 in Ubuntu 14.04.
• Ubuntu kernel 3.19 handling of the merged overlayfs is broken if the lowerdir is btrfs, resulting in a null pointer dereference oops during the making of the custom initrd. It appears to be identical to:

So, while generating a remastered image with a Ubuntu 14.04.3 host, for both target live environments 14.04.3 and 15.04, works fine with 3.13, and running live environment 15.04 works fine, it is currently broken to generate using an Ubuntu 15.04 host or 14.04.3 with the lts-vivid backport kernel.
