Ideas
Display:
- Atmega based proportional controller, connected to this display for setting temperatures and connecting with wireless actuators.
- Actuators could control boiler power (via a servo on the boiler knob) and link via nRF24 modules. Temperature sensor could go wherever, wireless or on controller itself.
- Boiler gain adjusted, more power the further away from set point.
- Controller is either on for 30mins or off, with a set temperature. Computer can start the controller and choose temperature via RS-232 or bluetooth. Also monitor everything.
- Cron used to schedule heat, very easily.
Wireless Comms
Can use Bluetooth modules (jy mcu at dealextreme)
Or also NRF24 modules for badass 2.4GHz comms ebay
