Domoticz APC UPS plugin

This plugin retrieves data from the APC UPS. It uses apcaccess to retrieve the details.

Installation

On your machine with USB or connectivity to the APC UPS:

sudo apt-get install apcupsd

And configure it to be able to retrieve the APC UPS data

If domoticz runs on another machine, install it again there so the apcaccess executable exists. But disable apcupsd:

sudo systemctl stop apcupsd
sudo systemctl disable apcupsd

Battery level indicators

Battery level indicators should be updated constantly - without changing the state of the device. When the power returns, the "Time on battery" and "Status" device has a low battery indicator, which generates Domoticz system notifications.

Device status update issue

I use the method in the closed "issue" to trigger dzvents scripts, however the "APC-Status" device is updated even when it's value hasn't changed so the script is constantly triggered every time the plugin checks (reading interval).

It would be nice if the device only gets updated if the value has changed which would stop my script running unnecessarily. Similar to "checkFirst" in dzvents but in the plugin.

notification on status change

Hello Joerik, I installed the plugin on my test environment succesfull, after some changes in the apcups.conf and host.conf files. Would it be possible to add a notification function to the status device. I would like to receive a notification if the main-power would disappear
