If we use the socket.io RedisStore instead of red-socket module, we can have multiple threads using node.js cluster functionality and/or multiple node servers.

The API support updates and deletes of notification events and send socket messages to the client.
However, the client presently does nothing with these message.
Implement updating of the UI to reflect the changes following an updated or deleted notification.

Currently, user details such as the name, avatar and profile url are stored inside each notification event. This is useful to quickly push the events to the client. However, there are currently no syncing API for user information. For the different actors, we should have a centralized table of actors and a reference in the notifications and push both notifications and avatars separately to the clients.
