Currently the code tries to just match ParticleIDs automatically. This clearly doesn't work -- there are some bits modified by GIZMO when it forms stars.

• Figure out what is going on with the IDs
• Test on small sub-set of data
• Implement into the code

At the moment we have a serious lack of unit tests in the code. This is something that really should be fixed even for such a small project.

We should consider using pytest to run the tests. This will enable us to have a directory called "tests" that contains python modules/files that begin with "test" and within them functions called "test_x" that get automatically ran on the invocation of pytest.

I will use this issue to catalogue the unit tests that need writing, at least based on the current version of the code.
