• try with Arduino Due (Mega 2560 doesn't have enough memory to use u8g2_font_unifont_t_chinese3, only chinese2)
• bug: pressing the button too quickly causes "LANGUAGE" to appear and (I think) causes a font / language mismatch. (I believe this happens when a language change that is being transmitted is interrupted with a second subsequent button press.)

The wires connecting Pin 4 and Pin 9 from the LCD display to the potentiometer are incorrect in the wiring diagram. Pin 4 should connect to the middle of the potentiometer and Pin 9 should connect to one of the outside pins.

Great work! We would love to see support for addressable LED matrices such as grids made with WS2811 LED pixel strings for an affordable DIY solution that can be used in larger venues for stage performances.

• document C++ wrapper, wiring, etc.

• create config file with following options using ConfigParser:
  • title of video
  • default language
  • video filename (local to extsub.py)
  • subtitle files directory (local to extsub.py)
  • if LCD display launches (1) running subtitles in default language, (2) blank, or (3) with customizable text (e.g. "Press Button for Captions")
  • if LCD display defaults to blank screen or customizable text, an "off/cancel" option allows the user who is cycling through languages to return to that default screen (blank or customizable text) rather than see subtitles
  • if LCD display defaults to blank screen customizable text, determine if the display reverts to default screen (1) at end of video playback, (2) after returning to the same timecode when button was pressed, or (3) if it completes one full play through to the end (hits the end twice)
    • reset to default language font if displaying customizable text
