Load textures and setup the scene before actually showing the canvas

Currently, the camera keeps changing its angles so that its centered on the ball, but it does not move along on the X-Z plane when the ball moves.

Set a forward vector for the ball, update that forward vector using controls.getAzimuthalAngle() as the user changes the view. Use the forward vector to update camera position.

To avoid global variable clash within different source .js file, create closure with Immediately-Invoked Function Expression (IIFEs)

Possibly because the ball doesn't hit the floor from where it would get reset.

It would be nice to detect when the balls (or some ball, e.g. the white one) has stopped moving.

This would help determine when one players shot has ended, and the game is ready to allow another shot to be taken.
