Currently, when a user changes the maps coordinates using the search bar or geolocation, there's no visual indication that anything actually happened/is happening. The UI should indicate progress so users know that the application is currently trying to fulfill their request.

Currently, address input relies on reading the input value from the DOM. It should instead just update the component state with whatever the value of the input is as the user types.

While the map, and the layers are loading, display a placeholder in its place, then transition the map into view.

The current icon is vague, a pushpin or similar icon would be better understood.

Upgrade React to post version 16. React 16+ has a number of breaking changes, so catch all errors that result from the upgrade

The current marker isn't center aligned to the map, causing the location detection to appear inaccurate.
