LightningLauncher is a launcher designed for Oculus Quest that supports both official and sideloaded apps and games.

It has been built with a focus on speed, flexiblity, and convenience.

It can run on any Android device, but has been tailored for the lastest updates to the Oculus/Meta Quest OS.

Get Lightning Launcher on SideQuest, or:

1. Download LightningLauncher from releases.
2. Install the LightningLauncher apk to your Quest. If you don't know how, you can follow this guide.
3. (Recommended) Set up a shortcut option in Settings -> Shortcut Settings

• Enter edit mode and then select "Add Website" on the bottom right
• Websites will be automatically given labels and icons from, but both can be customized as you wish
• Websites launch in a custom browser, and can continue running in the background when its window is closed
• High-res logos for many websites provided by clearbit
• WebExtensions from Firefox Addons are fully supported
• Background audio and recording is fully supported! Enjoy the web versions of Discord, Spotify, YouTube, etc

• Flexible UI with a focus on ease-of-use
• Manually hide, rename, or replace the icon of any app
• High res banner images for most VR apps, thanks to basti564 and Veticia
• Change the size or spacing of apps to show more apps at once
• Choose from 10 preset styles, or import your own custom wallpaper

• Automatic grouping of apps by platform
• Customizable default groups for VR Apps (Quest), 2D Apps, TV apps (AndroidTV), and Websites
• Easily sort apps into up to 20 custom groups

• Apps and groups you've starred will be moved to the front of the list for easier access
• If you chose to hide the top bar and not use groups, starring your favorite apps is a good alternative!

• Press the search icon next to the settings icon to start searching all apps
• Press enter on the keyboard to instantly open the first result
• (AndroidTV) Open search by pressing up from the top row

• Open Settings -> Shortcut Settings to set up shortcuts
• You can set Lightning Launcher to open from the app Library, Explore, People, and/or Facebook icons
• Use multiple shortcuts to open multiple windows of Lightning Launcher at once

PiLauncherNG is a more faithful fork of the original PiLauncher

DreamGrid no longer works properly on Oculus devices, but may be better for PicoVR

Oculess can provide background audio for all apps if configured as your device's owner (Advanced)

QuestHiddenSettings helps you set up system-wide adblock which works in LightningLauncher's browser
