DO NOT USE

It is not working anymore.

Gnome Shell Extension - Brightness Control using xrand (software)

Manage every display's brightness level easily.

It uses xrand's --brightness option, so it does manage display brightness at a software level.

The good part? It should work everywhere.

Screenshot

From xrand documentation:

    --brightness brightness

Multiply the gamma values on the crtc currently attached to the output to specified floating value. Useful for overly bright or overly dim outputs. However, this is a software only modification, if your hardware has support to actually change the brightness, you will probably prefer to use xbacklight.

gnome-shell-extension-brightnessxrandr's Issues

How to apt remove??

As many know this is crashing any gnome on Ubuntu 18.X - 19.10
There's no way to uninstall it that I can find.

The only solution to restore desktop gnome is to manually delete all directories and files in shell extensions. However this leaves a shadow install on the software installer that I can't for the life of me find a way to purge/remove.

Does anybody know how to remove this entirely?
Please and thank you
