awesome-status-pages's Issues

Uptimon is 404

seems that the repo was either removed or set to private

Include HetrixTools

Hello,
Would it be possible to add HetrixTools to the README.md file?
HetrixTools is a service that offers webmasters a useful set of monitoring tools to improve efficiency and helps makes their workflow simple.
They have been around since 2015 and have been using their solutions since a few years now and has been pretty good.

Include ping2me

Hello,
Would it be possible to include the app ping2me to the README file?

It is a free app that can be run on docker.

Cheers

Add Xitoring to `Services`

Hello,

Thanks for maintaining a great repo. Could you please add Xitoring.com to the Services section?

Xitoring provides uptime and server monitoring with an included status page service, the free plan includes 20 uptime checks and unlimited status pages at no cost.

Provide some classification?

Looking at all the opensource options, it looks to me that some projects are quite "orthogonal" to each other.

What is the source of status updates? (more than one can apply)

  • Automated service monitoring
  • Manually added outages
  • Planned maintenance

Who is the audience of the website? (more than one can apply)

  • Internal staff (e.g. only visible after login; no details about outages)
  • External users (visible without login, showing information curated for end-users, maybe even possibility for end-users to create account and filter)

How are users notified?

  • By looking at the page (duh! :) )
  • RSS feed
  • E-Mail subscriptions
  • Social services (Slack etc.)

Background is that I was looking for a status page for external users who can view outage information and maintenance windows and are able to self-subscribe via both e-mail and RSS.

From the 29 entries listed in the "opensource* section, only 3 (staytus, cachet, darkpixel/statuspage) qualify (unless I missed one or two), and about 5 more can only be definitely ruled out after you installed and tested them yourself and/or looked at the demo page.

I am sure that the page still provides help to many people, but for me, who came from the point to search an alternative for cachet (discontinued) and staytus (slightly buggy as it sometimes does not update the service status when an incident is logged), it became a time hog with effectively no better option than I already knew.

If you like to have this kind of information, How would such information best be added? With icons after the entries? As a table? How to mark "unsure" entries? I am willing to fill in as much as I remember from my journey about the 29 opensource entries and provide a pull request.

Unsure why staytus is deprecated and darkpixel/statuspage is not

For darkpixel/statuspage:

  • The provided docker image returns 404
  • All recent contributions are dependabot upgrades, the last real contribution is from 2019.
  • I was unable to get this running on a recent (Debian stable) machine, and googling the error codes suggested that it uses some Python/Django features that have since been deprecated and removed. And psycopg needs to be upgraded at least two minor versions to work with current Postgres databases, which results in other dependencies to fall over.

Also, the author states that he has migrated his own statuspage to staytus, so I would consider the project discontinuedd.

On the other hand, staytus looks quite maintained (yet it contains some small bugs from what I found).

Am I missing something? If you agree, I can send a pull request if desired.

Add iLert

Could you add iLert, please? It offers service monitoring, status pages, and call routing, and more as a hosted service.

A feature-comparison matrix

Having a list of tools is a good starting point, but most companies, even those who have their sh1t together, don't truly know what features they desire/require/like.
Pulling together something like an interactive HTML/XML, similar to this would be just a perfect comparison tool to allow IT professionals to easily make a choice based on an independant comparison, rather than the biased literature produced by software vendors.

Reorganize public status pages by service categories

Right now it's just a simple alphabetical list of public status pages. An idea is to reorganize it into groups like hosting, CDNs, finances, and e.t.c.

Groups should be sorted alphabetically and public pages inside each group should be alphabetically sorted too.

Sorting

Are you open to sort it by alphabetic ?
Or is there a other sorting system (please update the README then)
