As title says. App crashes and it's impossible to import profile.

It took a lot of time to load group message on my device and sometimes the load process can fail.

Where can I find the corresponding source for the latest binary release?
At the time of writing, this is dated 7th of August at

I think it would be really helpful to add support for proxies as it would allow the app to be combined with Orbot.

The Tok app creates a directory on shared storage and adds subdirectories named after user profiles. That in itself tells every app with "storage" permission (which is practically every damned app on Android these days) that Tok is installed, and gives away all the user's profile names. It looks like it puts stuff like avatars (probably the user's picture!) in there too.

An app like this should never, ever, put anything outside of its own private storage without explicit, knowing direction from the user. Nor, for that matter, should it ask for storage permission at all until the user actually tells it to use shared storage for something specific. Android shared storage is a dumpster fire.

Hi. I read your "Privacy policy" & I'm concerned about this:

"Exceptions you have to know: In some situations Tok can't establish a direct, peer-to-peer, connection with the recepients (e.g.restrictive NATs, TCP mode, HTTP or SOCKS5 proxy), in which cases Tok uses a relay node or proxy. Note that the relay node or proxy can't decrypt contents of messages and audio/video calls, as they are not the intended recipient of those."

Please please please make this feature (capability) optional & disable it by default. Make it possible for user to switch it ON/OFF from general setting of your program.

It is okay if you like to add "feature for making usage of application convenience" like this, but you have to make ALL such features OPTIONAL & DISABLE THEM BY DEFAULT like Jami (https://jami.net) already do ..... Otherwise you will undermined your application .& loss trust of users by making them suspicious ......

There are lots of adv and rubbish words from the groups. Please help to support to block or filter specific users.

I'm sure that these 2 features are on the road of this application. However, it is better to open a request for them

Hi. It is very nice to utilize Tor connection by your application. Really I like it. However, there are certain situations in which this connection not suitable. So, it is nice to add option in general setting of application by which user can switch Tor connection ON/OFF & make it ON by default.

Hi. I tried to use your application. I tried to import my Tox ID that I'm already created by qTox on my laptop. It is already protected by password. But your application failed for that said "invalid ID" !!

It is valid ID & I imported it at many devices .....

Please your kind attention & fix.

The latest version of the source code has not been released! This application has huge security risks！

how tok the background works drains the batteries.

tok.life have been blocked in China. why not provide the last version here. Chinese can download the last version here. if possible provides the version for windows ?

I asked Tox-core developers publicly about safety & trust of your application & their replaies were negative ! See the following link:

As you see,

1. your code is NOT fully open source because you push a more recent versions to Appstore & Google play without updating your GitHub repository so that GitHub repository has OLDER version of Tok-android while what available in AppMarkets are more recent !

2. you undermine your application by CENTRALIZED features that not compatible with tox-core criteria !

I remove your application from my mobile because Tox core developers NEVER recommend your application ......

Now, I would like you to explain why you do these things ?

It is our rights to ask if your application spyware or not ?

To restore confedence you have to:

1. remove & correct all these holes in your work &
2. you have to give explanation for what you did,
3. your software must be mentioned on this page:

The latest version didn't have a Group Chat feature and not support automatically to send message when the target user would be online. When a user joins in a group, he should receive a fixed message set by the group admin. When a user went offline, he shouldn't automatically leave the group.

The surveillance of Group Chat contents is more serious than 1v1 talking. Some common chat software can even pretend to send the message successfully, while actually intercept and desert it. So the need is rather urgent.

Additionally, the feature of Group Chat can obviously help more and more users knowing Tok, and play a role in its prevalence.
