Error when I run make

Hi, i am trying to create a playlist but as instructed on the read me file, I should download the files and run $ make... it is throwing me an error like this :

make: git: Command not found

make: git: Command not found
rm -rf build
mkdir -p build/playlist-
python build.py  data main.py build/playlist-/create-playlist
Traceback (most recent call last):
 File "build.py", line 21, in <module>
  build(*sys.argv[1:])
  TypeError: build() takes exactly 4 arguments (3 given)
 Makefile:4: recipe for target 'release' failed
 make: *** [release] Error 1

Is there anything i am doing wrong? Please help
