The list of tutorials should be driven by common developer needs. I'd like to believe that the outline laid out in the Beaker notebooks (currently on the beaker branch, but merging to master imminently) roughly corresponds to the commonality of developer API usage.

As such, I'm closing this issue. We will add more tutorials as API usage questions arise. (E.g.: the chances of someone needing to understand the PlatformService, and in particular of needing to implement a new Platform plugin, are extremely low. And even if they do, the already-implemented platforms serve as reasonable starting examples, which probably need no further explanation to the veteran programmer.)
