Running gdf(33017) should maybe give a warning/message and output a NULL object not stop with an error (or maybe add a switch for which behaviour to use).

This is Ollie at UKCEH.
This is just a heads-up that an upcoming update to the daily and monthly catchment rainfall data will remove the "cdr-d" (distance to nearest rain gauge) time-series. Our current plan is to retain the "cdr-d" data-type (for a while) but just have it return an empty time-series, so as not to break too many things (hopefully).
Please let either Matt or myself know if you have any thoughts about this.

The function documentation says "Gauged Daily Flow is measured in m^3/day".
However, Gauged Daily Flow is given in m^3/sec in the data accessible via the NRFA web site (https://nrfa.ceh.ac.uk/gauged-daily-flow-data), so unless there is a conversion done which I missed, the documentation needs correcting.

The gdf() help page states gauged daily flow is measured in mm/day. However, after comparing to data pulled directly from the NRFA webpage is appears that the data is actually in m3/s
