browser-extension-github-readme-toc's Issues

Issue with floating when the content doesn't fit into the viewport's height

The feature introduced in the last version (#4), which move the table of content when the page is scrolled down to maintain it visible, raised the issue that it isn't possible to see the whole ToC when it doesn't fit into the viewport's height of the screen, so it's always only possible to see it partially.

In the time being, I don't know the best solution in terms of user experience to make it visible, I'm thinking in solutions as:

  • Allow to scroll the ToC when the mouse it's positioned over it
  • Float partially the ToC matching with the scroll position, visualising in the centre the first README header visible and fill the top and bottom with the rest of the ToC elements.
