λ-blog

λ-blog is a static blog generator generator optimized for customizability. It provides sane defaults but lets you override anything, ranging from HTML templates to the generation pipeline, essentially allowing you to build your own static blog generator.

Usage

See the API docs and the sample blog.

To create a blog using Leiningen simply do the following in the console:

lein new lambda-blog name

Now you can generate & check out your static blog by runnig:

cd name
lein run
firefox out/index.html

Inconsistent dates in RSS template.

Atom requires RFC 3339 formatted dates.

404 template.

Might be useful.

Needs sitemap.xml template.

Filename sanitization is insufficient.

Content templating should be separate from parsing...

A way to summarize/preview entries.

It would be nice to have a way of parsing a part of an entry as a preview/summary of the whole thing.

Maybe adding a  and snipping the entry at that point would suffice?

Entry summary template generates invalid URLs

Because of an inoportune (merge entry ent) the original entity path-to-root is replaced with entries path-to-root leading to invalid URLs being generated in some cases.

An ability to use wildcards in the FS routines.

This would make it easier to store media together with post contents.

Can't pass :replacement-transformers to the Markdown parser

News feed contains all the entries all the time.

Limiting this to 10 most recent is probably desirable.

`format-time` doesn't handle #instant very well.

Add Travis support.

Content templating could treat templated value as Clojure code.

Could be treated as a function taking entity and returning arbitrary text for replacement. This would make it easy to link to other posts:
