Could id be namespaced to the dev team with the last 8 of the txn sig?

These would still allow for chain stats.

we need a link to something stored on chain as a reference, so it's unique and immutable.
start of the sig could do as a unique enough id. adding a human readable label is a nice touch :-)
in that case, i'd say to limit the label to 10 chars as well. could be platform label(5) + platformunique id (5). like kicks00000

and every potential platform is responsible for its own numbering. would end up with kicks00001-bb67dff3 with the tx whose sig begins with bb67dff3 has to be a "motion:" data tx.
