@edoaltamura could you double check that the submodules are up to date? Basically run git submodule status and if there's a + sign next to one (NBodylib is the likely candidate) then run git submodule update.

I can confirm that this is indeed the issue. Running git submodule update brings in the corresponding changes in NbodyLib and the code then compiles.

Thanks! I was running git submodule update --recursive --remote already without any effect, which is what was confusing me. Also configuring straight from the terminal instead of with a script seems to make git submodule update --recursive --remote work as expected. That's a different issue though - I can compile VR ok for now.
