advanced-computer-science's Issues

Running Expo project on lab or local machines

At the moment, some of us are having issues running the software in Expo version 35.0 on our local or lab machines. Ege has upgraded Expo version which updates to the .json file with newer version and committed changes to repo.

Error after running expo start

Issue

I am receiving the following error message when running Expo on my local machine.
12 info lifecycle @~start: Failed to exec start script

I ran 'expo start' initially, then changed to 'npm start' but really no difference in output; both gave me an error message.

Snapshot here:

Apparently this is an ongoing issue pull on Expo's GitHub repo: [https://github.com/expo/expo-cli/issues/1147]

My error log file for this run:
2019-10-29T21_24_55_325Z-debug.log

Environment:

Windows 8
node -v
v12.13.0
npm -v
6.12.0
npm install -g expo-cli
added successfully
expo init name_of_app
chose expo-template-blank; description blah-blah
successfully created app
cd name_of_app
expo start
