containers's Issues

Add ability to specify path of generated files

For example:

containers generate compose --path="./.docker"
containers generate dockerfile --path="./.docker"

This would generate the docker-compose.yml and Dockerfile in the path ./.docker

Add support for a .containersrc file to support defaults and paths

As a developer I'd like to be able to specify a path to where my docker files are generated. I also want to ensure that this path is used when I call container ...

An example of what this file could look like is:

{
  dockerDir: "./docker",
  appDir: ".",
  projectName: "my-awesome-app"
}

Add support for Ruby 2.7+

When I try to build the gem using ruby 2.7.6, this error occurs:

➜  containers git:(main) ✗ bin/setup

bundle install
+ bundle install
Warning: the running version of Bundler (2.1.4) is older than the version that created the lockfile (2.3.17). We suggest you to upgrade to the version that created the lockfile by running `gem install bundler:2.3.17`.

io-event-1.0.9 requires ruby version >= 3.0, which is incompatible with the current version, ruby 2.7.6p219
