dataviz-inspiration's Issues

A couple of medical dataviz for your consideration

Thanks so much for making this project - I've bookmarked it to return to regularly.

Here are a couple of dataviz pieces I've worked on, for you to consider including:
Covid-19 transmission diagram: https://www.bmj.com/content/375/bmj-2021-065312/infographic
Covid-19 test result calculator: https://www.bmj.com/content/369/bmj.m1808/infographic
Calories in restaurant meals: https://www.bmj.com/content/363/bmj.k4864
And an older one about Brexit because you said you needed pie charts! https://www.bmj.com/content/354/bmj.i3697/infographic

Show twitter connections between authors

Would love to check the twitter connections between authors feature in the website, and see how they are interconnected.
I'm curious to see if the R, python, JS, tableau, design communities can be shown as clusters.

More filter option

Somebody should be able to filter all the charts that have an annotation

Update McKinsey scatterplot

A couple issues with the McKinsey scatterplot entry, "Pandemic End".

  • It looks to be an imitation of an idea from NYT in Feb 2020. McKinsey does cite NYT as a source but only vaguely. I don't know if NYT has updated theirs like McKinsey has for new variants. So if it's worth keeping the McKinsey version, you might at least mention the NYT original in your notes.
  • The McKinsey version includes zero on the log scale. The NYT version originally had that, too, but later removed it after realizing the error.
