Open your terminal or command prompt.

Run the following command to create a new project:

dotnet new webapi -n MyApiProject

cd MyApiProject

Install the Pomelo.EntityFrameworkCore.MySql package for MySQL support:

dotnet add package Pomelo.EntityFrameworkCore.MySql

Install the Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Tools package for migrations:

dotnet add package Microsoft.EntityFrameworkCore.Tools

Open appsettings.json and add your MySQL connection string:

json Copy code { "ConnectionStrings": { "DefaultConnection": "Server=localhost;Database=MyApiDb;User=root;Password=yourpassword;" } }

change your database name, user and password
