google-scripts's Introduction

Scripts for Google Apps

I recently learned that you can quickly and easily run scripts against your Google Apps. This repo is where I'll keep some scripts that are useful to me, and hopefully others can benefit from them too.

How to Use Google Scripts

Visit the Google Scripts site and create your first script. Scripts are stored in Google Drive, so you can edit them there later on.

Then just paste this script into a new Script document.

google-scripts's Issues

Script misses emails without replies

I noticed that the script doesn't include quite a few emails that I know there's been no response to, sent within my timeframe. It used to include that, but then I noticed that my script had been deleted from my Script account so I had to recreate it.

I've got several different email addresses in my account, and a few of them got me as bcc. Could that affect it? How can the script be changed to include that?

Emails which need my response

Could you add a snippet so that instead of marking threads which I was the last one to reply, it would mark the ones which I was NOT the last one to reply?

Javascript

Hello Jonathan,
I'm trying to use your code to backup an url and i'm not being able of getting the full html of the web. I think is some kind of problem related to the web asking to have javascript enabled since in the middle of all the mess that is written in the file, you can read: " You need to enable JavaScript to run this app."
Do you know any solution to this issue?
thanks!
Fernando

gmail-no-response.js Exception: You do not have permission to call Session.getActiveUser

Hi!

What a brilliant idea for a script! I've tried to get this up and running, however I've fallen at the final hurdle it seems.

Apps Script presents me with this error in Failed Executions:

Exception: You do not have permission to call Session.getActiveUser. Required permissions: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email at getEmailAddresses(Code:107:22) at isMe(Code:90:19) at [unknown function](Code:67:9) at processUnresponded(Code:60:18) at main(Code:35:3)

I have a gut feeling it is something relating to Triggers:

Under 'Choose which function to run', I've currently got it set to main (the default that auto-populated), and 'Which runs at deployment' set to Head (again, auto-populated default).

The blog URL in the JavaScript itself doesn't seem to go anywhere as you've changed your website, so I've been trying to feel around myself for how to do this. I think 4am brain has well and truly kicked in. :- ) Sorry to disturb you with my silly problem!
