The only Isuue it's with win 10 multi user account.

Admin it's ok and it startup normally.

With the user account doesn't start at startup.

Schedule works only in the Admin account with MR with full privileges. Also with selected full privileges and with "any/all user" it doesn't start at startup in the user account.

I can start it from the folder app with the user account, but i have to insert the admin psw.

Hi.I want to tell that i got a powercut when clean memory.
I have enabled "Standby list" and "Modified page list",I clicked the clean button then i got powercut after windows freeze about 2 secs.I have running a VM in Virtualbox,which i think it is the case.

When I run the software, I have a timer that runs every minute, and the timer loses one second every hour or more.

Issue

Timed execution not reliable in shared installation

Detail

Because timed execution is managed by an internal timer callback check with an associated ini config file read/write every execution, any attempt to maintain timer scheduled execution in a portable installation being used by more than one system, fails.

The following observations have been made during testing of this issue:

1. Impossible to safely run as a portable install from a shared cloud location across machines: Due to this method of storing then reading back an ini value for last execution, multiple systems will all fight over the same ini and cause dangerous loops.
2. Execution is dependent on the ini file existence during execution, and adds small unneeded disk IO for each read/write - not a huge deal but a negative nonetheless
3. Code needs to be maintained just to perform a simple recurring timed schedule task.

Proposed Solution

Simple trigger-based scheduled task set to run every XX minutes (per user's selection in settings)

Solution Detail

The percentage memory test obviously needs to remain a fully internal callback, but the timed does not. We can use the long-running cleanmem shareware application that has been previously mentioned in other issue(s) simply as an example as it has an excellent track record performing this exact function in exactly the context being recommended. That app simply creates a scheduled task with a trigger to run every XX min after login. In the case of cleanmem, it uses a /startup switch with a 2nd scheduled strictly "startup" task vs other startup means to ensure the launch after the user logs on. The periodic triggered task is then scheduled separately to execute without any switches for the quiet cleaning.

Since all scheduled time-based execution would be managed by the local Windows OS, using this method would allow full scalability of a single installation shared across multiple PCs, such as on a NAS, while still allowing the current simple single portable directory installation with the single shared configuration file.

Not only does this approach removes all need of the current and future maintained timer code from the app, but adds several pretty significant improvements currently not implemented that come with native scheduled tasks. These alone, if implemented in the current model, would require considerable internal code to replicate such as running with a delay (either set or random) after login to allow full startup before first execution, auto-kill of the clean/task upon running more than xx minutes, ensuring system is idle, etc.

It additionally offers the benefit to the end-user of only having to maintain/update the single shared installation of memreduct on a shared storage location.

The only development requirement other than just removing the timed execution portion of the timer callback would be the small amount of code required to support the fairly limited scope of scheduled task management.

Can you please implement a small feature - ability to start memory clean procedure for memreduct.exe from the command line? For example "memreduct.exe -clean" or something else.

Reason/usablity situation:
I am using CMD-script which is killing regular resident programs (browser, download manager, etc) and disabling the network before running a game, and after the game was closed my script returning resident programs.

I know about the memory cleaning hotkey, but I hope you agree that in this specific scenario its better to have a command line parameter for memreduct.exe which will work no matter the program is already running or not.

Although release_3.2 works well with 64bit architecture, unfortunately at every boot displays a warning (see attached file).
How to disable that warning?

Why was the Start Minimized option removed? I far preferred this to the full window when I launch this program. Great program otherwise.

I have the box ticked to skip "user account control" prompt warning but This does not work when booting.

I have to click yes on account control box each time I boot up to get memreduct 3.3.2 started.

用adobe的软件的时候很容易出现蓝屏，系统崩溃啦。打开Chrome页面多了也有一定机会蓝屏。
我设置10分钟清理一次，是我设置错了嘛？

If you haven't already I'd like to request you take a look at this freeware/shareware util that is very similar but has some features that would be really nice additions to memreduct depending on your roadmap. Specifically, I'm interested in that utils "Clean file cache" which releases additional to the normal "clean mem". When I run it side-by-side to memreduct, the tray icons are literally identical and the default mem cleaning on Win7 also renders identical mem reduction so the methods must be the same so I'm hoping that util gives you some additional ideas particularly it's "pro" mode options.

But, right clicking that util and selecting the "Clean file cache" releases additional that seems to be missing from memreduct so perhaps start with that feature as the request.

In Mem Reduct v 3.1.x (since 27 Oct 2015), it is no longer possible to click the Clean memory button at the GUI's parent window without triggering the prompt message Do you want to start memory cleaning?" [Yes/No].

Also, adding any of the following config keys to memreduct.ini has no effect:

On the other hand, in Mem Reduct v 3.0.436 (01 May 2015), there was a config option allowing user to avoid that prompt message if preferred:

I had found the above config useful & convenient in the sense that when I bring up the GUI's parent window & click theClean memory button, it means I really want to start memory cleaning.

We're players of the Maplestory which is a Nexon(Korea) product. It is also a popular game in China.
The game client is now with a fatal bug : Memory Leak, which causes its memory occupation quickly to reach ~3.2 GB and then crash. (x86 client)
Occasionally we got to know your app is very effective to the issue: when your app got to run, the memory occupation of Maplestory.exe greatly decreased while it could be running much longer and more stably.
So, we are wondering if you can add a new feature to the MemReduct: the app can monitor a process (Maplestory.exe), when it reaches 1.5GB, then get to work.

Sorry, i'm new here, so i'm not sure if i'm posting my suggestion in the reight place, but i haven't found a more appropriate place to post it, so i'll post it here. Correct me if i'm doing it wrong.

So, my suggestion, is to change "сохранено" in the baloon that pops up after memory cleaning to "освобождено" or "очищено". I don't know about other users, but to me it looks kinda wierd, since "сохранено" rather means "saved" in Russian. Like, in case of "Save our souls!" or "A fireman saved a woman from a burning building." or, in the best case "to save (download) a file to a hard disk", "to save game (status)" (in PC gaming), "to save changes (in a document)" - i.e. - to make something safe. While "освобождено" means "freed up" (in our case - extra MBs of RAM are freed from unneeded files and ready for use again, to store something new and relevant) and "очищено" means "cleaned" ("X MB of RAM were cleaned from unneeded junk")

Возможно ли технически сделать такой функционал?
Чистить память только для одного процесса (или одного дерева процессов), например браузера.

I can't find routine.h and routine.c anywhere in your repository.
It prevents the project from being built, since we are missing definitions for various methods, such as all the _r_* functions.

I'm old with poor vision. I cannot make the font change so I can read it. I've changed it over-and-over, but it not hold. I would certainly appreciate some assistance.

I just down loadd this program and used on an old 4 core amd 3mhz system,
running the following operating systems.

Windows XP sp3 Pro 4gb memory.
Windows7 32bit 8gb memory.
Windows7 64bit 8gm memory.

Comparing the figure shown with Microsofts own display.

Nothing is correct.
Page files display is doubled,
System working set:- shown is so small that the system could not operate at all and yet it works fine with Microsofts own Manage showing the correct full memory available.

The only thing displaying correctly is the 'Physical' display (top of program display).
My friend of mine who owns a computer company who was visiting, also took a look,
and saw the same result as I did.
Great idea for a program, but not woking correctly.

Please please have a look and compare the results with Microsofts own software.

You might ask how a user would end up opening up the window again, and here's my proposal.

If the user would like to bring up the main window, they can simply run this program once again to launch the main window. After that they will be able to turn it back on in the Options.

Once again, this small piece of software is very useful and I like it very much! Thank you for your hard work!

If i select all available memory regions in the settings, after i iniciate memory clean my system freezes for almost a minute or so, and then stutter and lag like hell for some time. is it intended, or is it a bug? If it's intended, then i suggest adding a warning in the description of, or on checking the last two Regions ("Standby List (Vista and later)" and "Modified page list (Vista and later)") like "can/will cause the System to lag during cleaning", since the testing revealed that the problem only happens if those two options are checked.
Just in case it matters - the I'm using Win7 Ultimate x64 with 4 Gb RAM and the latest version of Mem Reduct (the previous version also had this problem).

Windows (10 32-bit) Defender finds what it thinks is a Trojan in MemReduct.

I imagine this is a false-positive, and hopefully you can find the cause and recode :)

The software is nice, but crash on windows 2012r2 operating system after cleaning.
we have a 128 Gb RAM server and if the memory is used arround or more than 30%, your software do the job and crash . if the memory is low, no any problem
