Should read:

$ git clone https://github.com/hemanth/kao-rest.git

I git cloned master, npm install, npm start and then...

I run this:
curl -I -X HEAD http://localhost:1337/

And the response is:

HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found
Date: Wed, 06 Jul 2016 19:17:07 GMT
Connection: keep-alive

If I change controllers/books.js to (replaces the simple return;):

module.exports.head = function *(){
  this.body = '';
};

Then it works. I'm wondering if I'm missing something though.

in this case it going where next?

app.js loads up and serves but making a request to /books crashes the server
