This is a transfer from HelloZeroNet/ZeroNet#831 by @probonopd

Please provide a zeronet.desktop and zeronet.png file for Linux desktop integration.

Ideally also an AppStream metainfo file.

This would allow packagers for Linux to use consistent menu launchers, icons, and metadata, and help here.

ZeroNet Client runs well on Python x64
It would be easier to use if there is a x64 bundle

Continuation of HelloZeroNet/ZeroNet#283 (we were told that this issue belongs into this project here).

The ZeroBundle/Python/python script has an issue on line 4 where it needs to wrap the $DIR/python2.7 part in double quotes. Otherwise it fails to start ZeroNet if it's in a path that has a space in it. This is what the entire file should look like instead:

DIR=$(dirname "$0")
export SSL_CERT_FILE=$DIR/../ssl/cert.pem
"$DIR/python2.7" "$@

I'm not sure where to submit a PR for this hence the issue instead.

ZeroBundle tries to download to download from https://try.gogs.io/ZeroNet/ZeroNet/archive/master.zip, but it's 404.

I think it's good. But the ZeroBundle doesn't include tkinter.

Hi I wanted to document ZeroNet installation for our users but the lack of signed downloads was discouraging. Can you please provide signed tarballs and also include these in your download page instructions?

Pyinstaller would allow to create a proper application package for each platforms.

Can you update ZeroBundle to use Python 3 version? And if possible also create x64 bundles (#14).

Please update Visual C++ Redistributable Packages in ZeroBundle.

Some days ago, @rexdf committed d97e3ec , but now dist/ZeroBundle-win.zip is still not updated, so new users download the old ZeroBundle-win.zip so they can't run as Administrator.

It helps users run ZeroNet in arm device such as Raspberry Pie.

Please include some instructions on how to pack the bundles. ZeroBundle hasn't been updated for a while. Writing a tutorial about finding all required files can facilitate packaging and help keep all packed dependencies up to date.
