Windows remembers but no ubuntu

I added this for Ubuntu a few days ago.  It uses the 'recent files' list to 
determine
the directory of the most recently saved file.  This was done for both 'open' 
and
'import' functions.

If this is not the way you wanted it to work, can you elaborate on your 
requirement?
 I may have missed something.
