Please, is there any reasonably easy way to enhance the script?

As things are, if:

1. install_waterfox.sh alongside waterfox-56.2.14.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2 is followed by
2. install_waterfox.sh alongside waterfox-68.0b1.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2

– then the installation of Waterfox Classic is overwritten by an installation of Waterfox Current (and without looking at the details of the overwrite, I might not trust the end result).

Upon launching waterfox it always opens my home directory (file:///home/ryan/), in addition to a homepage defined in preferences, or restoring a previous session.

This persists even after uninstalling, deleting my profile, and re-installing.

It doesn't happen if I run ./waterfox directly, leading me to believe something the install script does when creating the .desktop file, though I can't figure out what, as editing it makes no difference.

I'm running Waterfox Current (2020.9) on a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04

In line 569, there is a double '-' instead of a single one :
Exec=waterfox-$lowerChosenPackageType --ProfileManager
should be
Exec=waterfox-$lowerChosenPackageType -ProfileManager
