Hi @Jokeren,
We have not gotten around to extending the existing HPCToolkit reader to ingest data without the metric-db files. What is your timeline on this? Would you want to contribute this feature to Hatchet as a PR?
from hatchet.
Thanks for your response! I will start to use it in mid September.

Would you want to contribute this feature to Hatchet as a PR?
Sure, I will start by making changes by myself first.

Great, thanks! Let us know if you have any questions -- [email protected].

@Jokeren: We're making a list of tasks to complete for SC. Do you have any updates on this?
from hatchet.
@slabasan , oooops, sorry I am still busy working on HPCToolkit side, not starting this yet. It is on my list, but I have to make HPCToolkit dump the data I want before using hachet.

@Jokeren No worries, and thanks for the update! We'll keep this as an open issue here. We'll plan to get this implemented and will keep you posted for testing.

Thanks! See you at SC.

Hi! I just wanted to voice my support for this feature. Any chance there has been any movement on reading hpctoolkit databases without metric-db? Just reading through this thread and the associated hpcprof
changes, this appears to indicate that hatchet cannot read hpctoolkit databases that haven't been generated in an MPI context.

@moxcodes We are actually moving toward a new database format. @blue42u can provide you some information.
