I had a problem with:
'Показувати коротке чи повне ім'я ...'
because there is a ' inside a string delimited by '. I changed this, no problem, but to be sure: is the apostrophe in "ім'я" correct?

And I still have a problem that some strings are not translated. We will see.

My mistake! Wherever an apostrophe is needed, I have replaced it with the reverse apostrophe " ` ", and I haven't noticed this word. Please change it.
What other strings do you have problems with?

To understand the text, it does not matter which apostrophe will be used: normal or reverse. So put the reverse one - it not make conflict.

I used the strings for translation from a Vietnamese language request (Issue #37). It looks like there was an old version. Now here all strings and I fixed the apostrophe.

You missed replacing an ' in line 5 and there was a missing ' somewhere else. I have corrected these two positions.

Yes, everyone has this problem. The same thing happens with the Vietnamese language. It seems that the reason is in non-Latin characters and so on. @hartenthaler created an issue about it in the webtrees repository.

I found the problem: it seems that in your language the plural form depends on something else, ie that there are more possibilities in the plural, maybe if in plural the translated words are depending on whether there are for example 2 items or more, so that you have singular and two plural forms.
I just copied your plural translation to both plural translations and will upload the new version as soon as I'm finished. Then you can check it again and correct the two plural forms.

I uploaded now the module.php containing the new version for translation to Ukrainian (main part, not release). Feel free to update/check the two plural versions and send me your new version again. It will be part of the next release of this module.

There are additionally two new phrases at the beginning for the new control panel menu.

In your language - as I understood - there are three cases, depending on the number of items/persons:

case 1: if number modulo 10 is equal 1 and number modulo 100 is not equal 11
else case 2: if number modulo 10 is greater or equal 2 and number modulo 10 is less or equal 4 and (number modulo 100 is less than 10 or number modulo 100 is greater or equal 20)
else case 3.

So there are three strings which have to be provided by you for these three cases (I copied all your second strings into a third one as a rough estimation, but this is wrong):

'%2$s has %1$d mother-in-law recorded.' . I18N::PLURAL . '%2$s has %1$d mothers-in-law recorded.' => 
                      '%2$s має %1$d запис про тещу або свекруху.' . I18N::PLURAL .

Can you follow? Can you check all the translation strings again, please?

In Ukrainian, Russian, and, most likely, other Slavic languages, nouns in the plural actually change a little more complicated. For example, the word "record" in the singular is written "запис", in the plural number of 2, 3 or 4 pieces will be "записи", from 5 to 20 - "записів". Then everything is repeated, depending on modulo 10. Namely: 21 - "запис"; 22, 23, 24 - "записи"; 25-30 - "записів"; 31 "запис" and so on without end. But for me, it is difficult to imagine a situation when a person will have 10 brothers, not to mention parents or mothers-in-law. More often still from one to four. And secondly, I do not understand how these language subtleties can interfere with the program. If the variable $number === 1 you just need to take one string translation, if $number >= 2 take another one. And that's all. The PHP interpreter does not understand Ukrainian, I hope ))) Or this rule spelled out in I18N? Then I will gladly translate everything again soon!
Would it be more convenient for you if I added changes in the form of a pull request?

Yes, webtrees understands the special requirements of the Ukrainian language. I18N in general supports this, but there is in webtrees a special function to support your (and other languages); there are about 20 different rules for different languages.
Rule #7 is for your language:

So, you have to support three strings for cases 0, 1, and 2; otherwise, the translation doesn't work; therefore I copied your strings so that there are always three of them. You are right that there are never more than 4 mothers, but it is possible that there are 2 or 5 or 11 or even 20 male or female cousins.
