We upgraded NixOS to c2hs 0.24.1 a while ago, but now it turns out that al can't be compiled with that version: http://hydra.cryp.to/build/622015/log/raw. Would it be possible to add support for recent versions of this tool?

Detected here. I think it’s due to the fact the OpenAL package is not correctly installed on Ubuntu system. Maybe the .pc file is not pushed to the correct location then pkg-config --cflags openal fails.

We updated c2hs to the latest version in NixOS, and now al won't compile anymore: http://hydra.cryp.to/build/783519/log/raw. Would it be possible to release a new version to Hackage that remedies this issue?

We've updated to c2hs 0.26.1 in NixOS, but now builds of this package fail:

It’s important to use pkg-config to get the correct system-dependent locations for the libs. See this.
