I cannot use TorrenTV on my MacBook pro or iMac. I get this error:

I installed it for Mac OS X 10.9.4 and I have an Apple TV 3. I installed it and dragged a .mp4 file into it and it says "streaming" but nothing happens on the Apple TV. It just mirrors my mac desktop - no video starts playing. Does TorrentTV not support Apple TV 3?

When I try to launch the executble from the command line, it throws this error: "error while loading shared libraries: libudev.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

Would like to see a block list feature. This would need to pull from a block list site, I.e. Http://List.iblocklist.com

Is it possible to alter the playback speed of videos? I'm mostly using TorrenTV to play local files, so buffering shouldn't be an issue. I want an option to change the playback speed so I can watch certain videos at 1.5x or 2x speed.

Thank you so much for expanding TorrenTV beyond just apple tv to Roku. Having the ability to wireless stream any local video file to my Roku has always been my number one desire, and since reading about the TorrenTV project I've been crossing my fingers for just that.

Running the latest TorrenTV version 0.9.6 on a Macbook Pro, I successfully connected to the Roku app and was able to stream video from a Magnet link torrent; excellent job!

However when dragging and dropping a local video file I've run into issues. I experimented with a couple of formats including .mkv, .mp4, .avi files but none worked. The app on my Mac shows that it is sending, but when I click start playing now in the roku app, it fails to load. I get the black loading screen for a split second, before immediately bouncing back to the Roku TorrenTV app main screen.

Here's hoping this gets addressed in the next beta update. Keep up the amazing work!

Hello everyone. Every time I try to send the torrent to my chromecast i get this error message. "Uncaught node.js Error" Not really sure what this means but just wanted to make sure you guys were aware of it.

have apple tv and popcorn time. Downloded torrent tv but cant seem to figure out how to get popcorntime to stram to apple tv with this app. The apple tv function in popcorn time does not work for me. Just keeps searching for streaming devices and never finds it. What am i dragging to torrent tv

Im running Yosemite with the dark theme enabled on mac and since the dock logo is black i can't really see it with my background. so some sort of outline or anything to keep it from just being completely black would be appreciated.

Just one thing I would like... I often watch content on my home ATV, but I also like to watch video on my laptop screen when I'm away from the living room. In this case, I would love to be able to player the .torrent's video on a local media player on my Mac, like VLC. Is this possible?

I've tried with a couple different torrent-files now, but I only get "An error occurred loading this content" on my AppleTV. It shows the loading symbol, and the TorrenTV-client seems to be downloading the file just fine.

The app starts and finishes downloading the content but never gets past the "Waiting for AppleTV" stage. The computer can see and even airplay to the device however TorrenTV never plays the downloaded video.

Currently it appears to not support https. Would love to see https support and a blacklist feature which I will add separately.

Win installer used. Many times installer reports "error opening file for writing". Files involved are in \Local Settings\ ...........\upload.js, auto-pause.js, pause.js, test-delayed-stream.js,test-handle-source-errors.js, and test-proxy-readable.js. When I try to open TorrenTV.exe from the desktop, Win reports C:\Documents and Settings\User\Local Settings\Application Data\TorrentTV\node-webkit\TorrenTV.exe in not a valid Win32 application. Is it me or is it Memorex?

Just wondered if you could help - I've installed the software and it seemingly connects to my Apple TV but when the content tries to download, my whole internet crashes (can't access anything on my browser/torrent content won't stream). Then when I close TorrenTV, the internet comes back again and everything works as normal.

It's odd as I can download things on uTorrent without issue...

Any help would be massively appreciated!

On my Mac (MacBook Air Mid 2013, Mavericks), I am unable to drag-drop anything into the window, be it a file or magnet.

On PC (W8.1 fully updated and genuine), it does not seem to find my AppleTV, while iTunes finds it perfectly.
I can also only seem to be able to drop magnets, and no files.

I can provide you with any information you may need to replicate this issue.

I have a Late 2008 MacBook running OS X 10.9.4 Mavericks. I installed TorrenTV 0.9.4 but it doesn't work. Apple only officially supports Airplay in MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer) [0], which is why I used AirParrot, thats works perfectly with my Apple TV 3.

TorrenTV always say "Waiting for AppleTV" but never works.

Could it work with AirParrot?

i updated my java but the problems still showing up it becoming unusable highly unstable...
and yes i know it's a beta, but i wonder if this have something todo whit the new "chrome-cast" code!

Just downloaded Torrentv for Windows. Opened the program and dropped .mp4 file. The screen is stuck on streaming. Apple TV has a loading sign on it but never loads the movie. Please help.

But i have a issue with some files : mkv with ac3 audio , when i play it on my chromecast i have good video ( 1080p works ) but i have no audio, mvk with acc audio works greats by the way

I have more than one Apple TV in my household, so when I am going to stream the given .torrent file, there is no way to select for it to play on the TV in my bedroom, it instead plays only on the living room set, no matter what I change my display to in "AirPlay" settings. Is there some way to fix this that I am missing? Or is this just not supported this early on?

Add DNLA support so we can stream to my smart-tv like Philips and Samsung.

I think I may be missing something here, but how do I drag and drop Magnet links into TorrenTV from PirateBay. I can't download a .torrent file either cuz PirateBay doesn't offer it anymore.

Thinking about getting a Chromecast. Quick question. I'm curious if there is a way to pause a movie streaming to a Chromecast since it doesn't have a remote like an AppleTV. What do you do if you're an hour into the movie and need to pause it?

Sometimes a torrent have a folder or several files or both, in those cases TorrenTV is failing for me. It would be cool if in those cases a prompt can ask which is the main video file that should be streamed to the AppleTV.

I have a small feature request. I'm streaming the torrent to XBMC installed on my RaspberryPi. It works flawless. The subtitle add-ons in XBMC appends video names from the filename but when I stream the video using TorrenTV the torrent name or video name doesn't appear on to XBMC, and thus it cannot seek proper subtitles for the video.

For me, the killer implementation of TorrenTV would be an android app that passes the torrent URL along to a Chromecast (or other supported device) for streaming using the "Share" intent. Instead of dragging the URL to a box, you would simply long press the link in a browser or some other program, choose "Share", and select TorrenTV from the list. It may not jive with your goals for the project, but I thought I would throw it out there as a suggestion. Thanks!

I'm totally new to the whole torrent thing, and I'm just trying to link torrents to my Roku. The issue is, when I drop a magnet or .torrent file to the app, the app just disappears shortly afterwards, and doesn't finish. Help.

Could you make the .zip install file for the Roku available so that NOWTV (slightly crippled Roku box) owners may sideload the app.

That would be really great as NOWTV doesnt have a upnp app either, so airplay would be a huge bonus
