i using this api for update my plugin. i do everything and everything is working but i have PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Invalid archive structure problem when updating plugin. Anybody can help me?

I have tested this with WP version 3.9 and 4.1
in 3.9 its working fine but in 4.1 version update message under plugins list not displaying.

And when plugin deactivated the update message and red warning also not displaying.
But in 3.9 its working fine.

Anyone please help me solve this issue with WP 4.1 version

is there any way to add basic authentication protection to archives ?

I tried and it successfully works in checking theme update but when update from update screen
comes with this error
Download failed. Authorization Required

Please advice.
