GA Ecommerce collects a transaction ID. This ID is also sent to a
customer's backend ecomm system. Being able to query Campaign by
TransactionID would allow developers to join campaign data with other
(internal to the developer) data on the transaction id key.

Query for ga:visits by ga:date gives wrong answers if timeframe is wider than some threshold

Name of API affected:
Analytics Data Export API

Issue summary:
Query for ga:visits by ga:date gives wrong answers if timeframe is wider
than some threshold

Steps to reproduce issue:
1. query for last week
2. query for last year
3. compare values

Expected output:
What do you expect to see after performing the above steps?
I expect the values for a given day to be the same regardless of how may
days are requested

Actual results:
What do you actually see after performing the above steps?
visit counts decrease as timeframe is increased

Notes:
Several ShufflePoint customers have complained about this. We just added a
work-around which is to query each day separately.

Please provide a NoThumb version of libGoogleAnaltyics.a for the iPhone

As of iPhone SDK 3.1.2 apples native linker has issues linking MonoTouch code
with native thumb
libraries (this is a regression on apples side since SDK 3.0). While we wait
for Apple to fix their
linker, it would be nice if google could provide a No Thumb version of the
library. Other providers
do this already, and it seems the standard naming is:

libGoogleAnalytics
libGoogleAnalytics_NoThumb

However this would not be required.
Thanks

getDataFeed should return feed

Request summary:
Provide a brief summary of the the feature you'd like to see implemented.
Would like to see the getDataFeed method return the feed itself instead of
sending it straight to the continuation function. This would allow for a
re-utilization of code when multiple URI feeds are being used (multiple
requests with differing date ranges) and additional parameters could be
passed to the processing function instead of only the feed object.

Use Cases:
Describe how you will use this feature if implemented.
This would allow me to use the same function to process similar data that
only varied in date range and to send to that function the id of the div to
write the data to. Using this method I slim down my code while allowing the
end user to compare data from multiple date ranges.

second page of a visit.

To further support landing page optimization efforts, combining with
landing page path, one could infer which links user's clicked on a landing
page. Ideally this could be tied through conversions to get a sense of
certain links are more valuable than others.

Combinatorial Results when doing a dimension request

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This issue tracking system is for developer products only. If you
are not a developer/programmer and have a problem with a Google web site,
please report the problem to the appropriate group. More information can
be found here: http://www.google.com/support/
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name of API affected:
Analytics Data Export API

Request summary:
Currently, when you do a request for a metric on multiple dimensions you get
back ONE entry for each combination. So when
you do a request for say new visits by source, country and medium you would get
each combination of source, country and
medium WITH THE EXCEPTION of each dimension as a NULL case.

This means that if I want to see new visits by JUST source or JUST source +
medium I need to do yet another request, take up
time and processing for both of us.

Instead, if you returned the combinatorial possibilities of any multi-dimension
request (or provided an option for it) then
everything could be returned in a single call, which is far more efficient.
The use case gives an example below.

Use Cases:
Say I wanted new visits by source, medium AND country. I would request
ga:newVisits with dimensions ga:source, ga:medium
and ga:country and maybe add something like "permutations=true" or whatever.

Then, the feed would return new visits segmented by the following:

source ALONE
medium ALONE
country ALONE
source + medium
source + country
medium + country
source + medium + country

The response object doesnt need to change, except the client would need to
realize that all three requested dimensions are
not going to appear in every entry since you are returning permutations, which
should be the correct behavior.

For example Booster says: "The google API is great, but it would be super
with the event tracking
in it! +1"

Use Cases:
Describe how you will use this feature if implemented.

With Event Tracking in the reports, we will be able to report number of
content interactions with our rich media, video and other non-page load
metrics...Also champagne will rain from the heavens.

large.

Steps to reproduce issue:
1.request ga:timeOnSite
2.request large date range
3.use a popular site with a lot of hits and time on site

Expected output:
I want to see the real metric value instead of the "1.3443273E7"

Actual results:
You see a value such as "1.3443273E7"

Notes:
This is a big problem

Request summary:
If I build a request with the date as the dimension and visits as the metric
and there are no visits
on a particular date, that date is omitted from the results. I'd like it to
return a 0, because 0 is
significant data. This is much more difficult to do as an end-user to see which
days did get
returned, and which did not, and to fill in the blanks.

Use Cases:
If I need to build reports which compare days which do and do not have visits
for an other
dimension (e.g., pagePath).

Regular expressions using the pipe symbol gives a "no results found"

Name of API affected:
Analytics Data Export API

Issue summary:
Regular expressions using the pipe symbol does not work.

Steps to reproduce issue:
1. Set dimensions to ga:keyword
2. Set metrics to ga:visits
3. Set filters to ga:keyword==keyword1|keyword2 (there are no disallowed chars
in the keywords that I use, only a-z)
4. Set sort to -ga:visits
5. Leave max-results at 50

Expected output:
I expect to see two rows of data with columns, in this case:
ga:keyword ga:visits
keyword1 nnn
keyword2 nnn

Actual results:
no results found

Notes:
It does not matter what dimension operator I use, I get a "no results found"
which is not true since both of these keywords exists within
chosen date range. I have used both the API and Data Feed Query Explorer with
same result. I have verified that both keywords exist within
the selected date range by using the Data Feed Query Explorer with the settings
in steps 1-4 above (with only one keyword at a time).

AdSense data through Google Analytics API

Request summary:
Assuming Google Analytics and AdSense accounts are properly linked, it
would be great if we could also get AdSense data using Google Analytics API.

Use Cases:
We would like to develop a free plugin for bloggers who use AdSense on their
blog, that
would allow them to see some basic AdSense data fro each keyword that generated
a visit
to their blog from the search engines.

For example, here's a table header of what I mean:

Keyword, AdSenseAdClicks, AdSenseRevenue, etc,
keyword1, 150, $340, ...
keyword2, 345, $134, ...
keyword3, 165, $75, ...

You're APIs rule. You rule :)

Use Cases:
The Data Export APIs should provide methods which will accept
creadentials, profile details and in return provide the Javascript code
along with the profile ID.
We will use this method/s to create website and profiles dynamically.

regular expressions:
http://groups.google.com/group/google-analytics-data-export-api/browse_thread/th

32 characters is pretty limitative for my use. Boosting the limit up
to 128 characters would be awesome!

Use Cases:
Describe how you will use this feature if implemented.

1st example : ga:pagePath ~= details/[0-9]+\?(dealer_id=[0-9]+&|
utm_internalcampaign=promotion&)?dealerid=[0-9]+
In that first example, we need to change the last-two [0-9]+ by a
number which might be 4 characters long.

2nd example : ga:pagePath ~= advanced_search\?.*utm_action=download.*
\.jpg.*(utm_)?dealer(_?id)?=[0-9]+
same here for the [0-9]+

api/browse_thread/thread/191c92556be9346f/218f881131e79f1b

Steps to reproduce issue:
1. Some campaign (ga:campaign) should have comma in it's name, e.g. "Test,
and test"
2. Try to get visits for that campaign using '==' or '=@' sign operators,
or try to get all visits for all other campaigns except that one by using
'!=' or '!@' sign operators
3. Than do the same but using regular expression

Expected output:
The number of visits should be the same in both 2 and 3 steps, but they are
not.

Actual results:
If you try to select the number of visits for the campaign with commas in
their names, zero values are returned. But if you do the same with regular
expression the correct numbers are returned

It would be nice to be able to list all the profiles of a specific account
IDs. Now the account-feed always lists all available profiles in a flat
list, and there's no way of filtering the result to an account ID.

Use Cases:
We have a global account, that's linked to all our clients' accounts. So
this would make it a lot easier for us to list statistics for all profiles
of an account, without neeeding the specific account/username they are using.

Allow ga:pageTitle to be a metric too.

Use Cases:
Describe how you will use this feature if implemented.

With ga:pageTitle like a dimension, sometimes the ga:pageTitle returns (not
set) on matching data ga:pagePaths and divide my page (and consequently my
pageviews) in two different pages (one with the real title and other with
(not set) on title). So, I can´t get my total pageviews with the ga:pageTitle.

If ga:pageTitle was a metric, the query could return always the real title,
just because the title will be on the line where it´s different to (not set).
