makerspace-partsbin's Issues

Write pre-push hook

Goals:

  • prevent absolute paths sneaking into fp-lib-table and *.pro
  • ensure license fields set in *.sch and on *.kicad-pcb
  • ensure any markdown files are updated when necessary

Render previews for boards better

Right now they're run through a gerber viewer; having a simpler workflow like kicad+inkscape would give us svg output, consistent colors, and be faster.

Render previews for footprints

My best idea right now is to synthesize a board with just the one component on it, then run that through the board preview code.

Design buck-charge-boost module for raspi

Recapping requirements:

  • Take 6-24V in
  • Buck: Provide 5V (probably 5.1V) to power a Pi and run a standard linear charger (~2.5A)
  • Charge a 1S protected lipo
  • Boost: lipo to 5V (probably 5.1V, ~2A)
  • Load switch
  • "On" button
  • "Wakeup when supply returns" real jumper
  • "Off" button, trigger shutdown, press-and-hold for force poweroff
  • One GPIO using the same low triggering as http://www.mosaic-industries.com/embedded-systems/microcontroller-projects/raspberry-pi/on-off-power-controller
  • Optionally I2C communication to monitor battery voltage
  • Ideal full disconnect of battery after shutdown, <10uA current draw.
  • If shutdown triggered but power returns, let it finish and restart Pi
  • Polyfuse to prevent overcurrent
