About the Project

This website is made for the people who want to donate to the needy people. It is a straightforward website built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This project is part of the Hacktoberfest on behalf of the Google Developer Student Club's RJIT, and it aims to teach students about open source and basic web development.

This is a simple project that welcomes contributions. You can help this project by adding new features and fixing bugs that already exist.

📌Contributing Guidelines

First, read CONTRIBUTING.md.

Do not make a PR without getting the issue assigned to you first. Read the rules carefully!

Now, Follow these steps to get started with contributing to this project 👇🏻

1. Fork this repository.

2. Clone your forked copy of the project.

git clone https://github.com/<your_name>/Donaate.git

3. Navigate to the project directory 📁 .

cd Donaate

4. Add a reference(remote) to the original repository.

git remote add upstream https://github.com/Google-Developer-Student-Club-RJIT/Donaate.git

5. Check the remotes for this repository.

git remote -v

6. Always take a pull from the upstream repository to your master branch to keep it at par with the main project(updated repository).

git pull upstream main

7. Create a new branch.

git checkout -b <your_branch_name>

8. Perfom your desired changes to the code base and track your changes:heavy_check_mark: .

git add .

9. Commit your changes .

git commit -m "Relevant message"

10. Push the committed changes in your feature branch to your remote repo.

git push -u origin <your_branch_name>

11. To create a pull request, click on compare and pull requests. Please ensure you compare your feature branch to the desired branch of the repo you are suppose to make a PR to.

12. Add appropriate title and description to your pull request explaining your changes and efforts done. Always make sure you have pulled the latest code from the main branch before making a PR.

13. Click on Create Pull Request.

14. Hurray ❗ You have created a PR to the Donaate 💥 . Sit back patiently and relax till then the project maintainers will review your PR. Please understand, there will be some time taken to review a PR and can vary from a few hours to a few days too so be Patient and keep contributing.

About video features

I think instead of showing link we can represent in the form of video at the donateHere section.

Add scroll to top button feature

I want to add scroll to top button feature which enables users to scroll smoothly to top with just a click without doing it manually.

Please assign me this issue. i want to work upon this.

Want to edit in donaate project

Sir we can add "donate books " option in donate here because the children also want education to change their future and the existing world.

Complete the Navbar and Hero section

I would like to complete the Navbar and Hero Section design as per the figma fille present in the README file. Currently it seems incomplete. Would try to make it looks as close as possible to original figma design

FAQ

i would like to make the FAQ page

Want to add the favicon

No favicon is present there in the site , I want to add the favicon.
This will be the favicon.

Make a contact section.
Take reference from Figma file which you can find in Readme.md

Changes in navbar

Propose Changes

  • Add a home button before about button on navbar which will be inactive at the top.
  • Add functionality in navbar. The buttons are not clickable.
  • Add hover animation in the about, donation and faq buttons.

About page

Please create an About page.
For UI refer to the readme.md

Poor code in footer

Footer is coded very badily. Improve the code quality and remove unwanted/unnecessary code.

Button click issue

In the faq section there are these button which open and close answers.

  • The very first click on these buttons don't work. When you click second time it starts working normally.

Remove horizontal scrolling

I would like to work on this issue.please assign this to me.
I opening this issue under hacktoberfest 2022.
