rpgz's Introduction

RpgZ

RpgZ changes the looting way of Minecraft. Instead of dropping items after getting killed, loot the corps.

Installation

RpgZ is a mod built for the Fabric Loader. It requires Fabric API and Cloth Config API to be installed separately; all other dependencies are installed with the mod.

License

RpgZ is licensed under GLPv3.

rpgz's Issues

Incompatibility with OPaC on 1.20.1, full crash on startup.

Minecraft Version

1.20.x

Mod Loader Version

0.5.10

Mod Version

0.6.0

Describe the Issue

I noticed a crash in the pack I was making that seemed undescribed, after some narrowing down I found removing OPaC resolved the issue but it wasn't the sole cause. More narrowing down and testing I've concluded that this crash occurs only when both mods are present, and when no other mods than their dependencies are installed. Due to, what I presume, is a conflict of mixins. I'm reporting it here cause the rpgZ is the older mod of the two, but if you'd prefer to report it on the OPaC repo instead just let me know.

The log is attached, as described above only the following mods are installed:

  • Cloth Config API v11.1.118
  • Fabric API v0.92.1
  • Forge Config API Port v8.0.0
  • Open Parties and Claims v0.22.0
  • rpgZ v0.6.0

All on Minecraft v1.20.1 using the Fabric Loader v0.5.10.

No, as OPaC would be required for this bug,

There is a very big (Bug) occurring with Mutant Mobs mod for Fabric 1.20.1

Make sure you are not opening a duplicate.

  • I have searched the issue tracker and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Description of your suggestion.

The Mutant Mobs have interesting mobs that drop weapons, items, and armor. Well the is that mutant enderman and mutant zombie suffers from getting the backrooms meaning clipping under the ground and unable to fight them or even loot them after death.

This is the only feature I wish it would be implemented.

Cannot respawn on death

Installed with a large assortment of other mods on latest release.
Clicking respawn does nothing, let me know if other details are needed to replicate. Log doesn't seem to have anything informative

Dismount entities riding killed entity

Make sure you are not opening a duplicate.

  • I have searched the issue tracker and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Description of your suggestion.

So currently if you have a rideable entity like a skeleton horse and another entity like a skeleton is riding it, and then you kill the skeleton horse, it lays on the floor ready to be looted while the skeleton (entity that mounts the dead one) is stuck sitting above it. Maybe it should be automatically dismounted?

Describe the Issue

I'm using a bunch of mods, but the 2 that I've got issues with are Bosses of Mass Destruction and Marium's Soulslike Weaponry. Both of these are up to date at the time of posting this issue.

I've done some testing and found that certain mobs from each of these mods will still have the corpse or just won't have a body or drop items at all.
I found that it is an issue with alternate deaths, meaning basically every boss, as well as a few regular mobs like warmth and withered demon animations, in Soulslike Weaponry, and as for BoMD, Void Blossom and Night Lich are the ones with corpses and loot, the Night Lich works fine other than dropping loot and keeping corpse when excluded, but Void Blossom has all the loot but will destroy its corpse after about 5-10 seconds, when excluding it there are no drops and the corpse is still there before being destroyed as usual.

My latest.log is of each of the mentioned mobs having been excluded and then killed.

[Forge] Loot Drop Incompatibility

1.16.5 latest forge, RPGZ and Tinkers (among other mods)

I couldn't seem to get a custom loot drop (from a wither skeleton) added by Tinkers Construct (Necrotic Bone). I uninstalled this mod and they were dropping correctly.

[Crash] Crashes with Pehkui installed.

Granted I'm using Forge 1.20.1 using Sinytra Connector, I have no clue if this issue is present for the fabric version of Pehkui but I figured I'd make a post here anyways. The mod works great on Sinytra when Pehkui is not installed though!

[Compatability] Physics Mod & RPGZ

Physics Mod & RPGZ are two great mods that could pair together so smoothly, and it would honestly be a match made in heaven.

RpgZ is an awesome personal favorite for handling a more "RPG" looting system. when killing a creature. a dead clone of the creature laying down is spawned and you have to loot the creature for your goodies

Physics Mod Is a beautiful physics mod that allows several features, but the only relevant one here is ragdoll corpses. when a creature is killed, you can set that creature to turn into a ragdoll, instead of a poof of smoke

combining these two features together would be so immersive, and such an awesome way to handle entity deaths.

Idk why or how but it doesn't feel right to put chest randomly on any mobs. Is this a bug or a somewhat feature?

[Request] Compatibility with LevelHearts/Scaling Health Mod

I'm using the newest Forge version. When I add in this mod and levelhearts mod, you cannot click the respawn button. On the other hand, when I use a substitute (Scaling Health), it crashes the game when you click respawn.

To reproduce:

  1. Add levelhearts and RpgZ Forge version 1.16.4 into the Minecraft folder
  2. Load the game and create a world
  3. /kill
  4. Can't respawn/crashes

Btw really loved this mod, planning to add this mod in my upcoming modpack once the issue is fixed!

[Suggestion] Combine Loot

Make sure you are not opening a duplicate.

  • I have searched the issue tracker and did not find an issue describing my bug.

Description of your suggestion.

Merge the loot of nearby corpses, or when you loot one you also loot all nearby corpses. Or something along these lines. Similarly to how mmos handle it.

[feature] blacklist mobs by modid only

in your modid:mob list, have it if only the modid is present, then all mobs from that mod are blacklisted.

was just thinking you could also go further and have a blocking by just mobname, like you have several mods that provide zombies. but you don't want to arse with specify each one becausess for example

modone:zombie
modtwo:zombie
modthree:zombie

so you could do just "zombie" and all three of those would be blacklisted.

wow this is triggering thoughts.

or forget all of this and eimplement regex into the blacklist which would make something like

zomb a reality block all mobs from any mod that had "zomb" in their name.

[Forge] Fails to load if excluded an entity

I'm using this mod on both server and client-side, I tried to exclude an entity due reason of having a farm that collects loot (in this case, slimes) in server's config file.
I did typed the the string right, I double-checked it. I'm not sure if I did anything wrong.

This is how it looks like:

hopper_extracting = false
despawn_immediately_when_empty = true
despawn_corps_after_ticks = 4800
drop_after_ticks = 2400
#Example: minecraft:zombie or adventurez.brown_fungus
excluded_entities = [minecraft:slime]
drop_unlooted = false

And here's the crash log:

Can't mantain custom list of excluded entities after server start

Every time I make changes to the excluded entities list and restart the server to apply them, the portion of the config file about entities blacklist resets to default having "minecraft:shulker" as the solely entity blacklisted.

Hereunder I paste the config file text after I have changed it and after I have restarted the server. Note that the "hopper_extracting" parameter manteined the setting set to "true" (default is false).

{
"drop_unlooted": false,
"hopper_extracting": true,
// Default: 2400ticks = 2min
"drop_after_ticks": 2400,
"despawn_corps_after_ticks": 4800,
"despawn_immediately_when_empty": true,
"surfacing_in_water": true,
// Example: minecraft:zombie or adventurez:brown_fungus
"excluded_entities": [
"minecraft:shulker"
]
}

This happens even if I simply replace the already blacklisted entity with another, like:

{
"drop_unlooted": false,
"hopper_extracting": true,
// Default: 2400ticks = 2min
"drop_after_ticks": 2400,
"despawn_corps_after_ticks": 4800,
"despawn_immediately_when_empty": true,
"surfacing_in_water": true,
// Example: minecraft:zombie or adventurez:brown_fungus
"excluded_entities": [
"minecraft:zombie"
]
}

Describe the Issue

rpgz's @Override of MobEntity.tickMovement ends up overwriting the method which makes any other mixins into that method fail
villager_see_villager_do mixins to it here

You could replace your @Override with an @Inject with cancellable = true and it would be much more compatible

Small issues with the EpicFight mod.

If you use this mod with the epic fight mod, death animations loop and the hitboxes are a little off to the side. It just makes getting the loot a little more difficult since you don't actually click on the body, and it looks a little strange.

[Suggestion] Using a Shovel

Can I request that shovels be used to remove the corpses of mobs automatically?
This is for when you set them to not automatically despawn after being looted there would be a way to remove the corpses without waiting for the timer/countdown.

Loot drops out right away

closes game to desktop whenever mob killed by projectile

Minecraft Version

1.20.x

Mod Loader Version

0.14.24

Mod Version

RpgZ-0.6.0+1.20.1

Describe the Issue

closes game to desktop whenever mob killed by projectile, I assume it's this mod as it is the only mod relating to mob deaths

Do you use any other mods except the required ones?

No response

Player corpses

This is less of an issue and more of just a request, but I'm working on a PvPish modpack and I'd really like to have it as a config option to spawn player corpses. It might be a bit difficult to get it to load in player skins so if it's easier you could just have them be skeletons or something, but I'd really like the corpse logic to be consistent across mobs and players.

Thx lol

[Feature request] Destroy corpses on shift-right click

Shift + right click on corpse will destroy it and the loot will fall to the ground
Option to have items go directly to the players inventory, if it can accept items. If there isn't enough space, it drops normally instead

Apotheosis boss mob problem

Minecraft Version

1.19.x

Mod Loader Version

Forge 43.2.11

Mod Version

rpgz-0.5.3-forge.jar

Describe the Issue

when killing apotheosis boss mobs there are two problems. Gems don't appear inside of the body and just drops near the corpse. sometimes the corpses don't appear and the items just drop.

Modded mobs doesnt drop 100% time loot?

This does seem to be a problem relating to the Corpse mod (Rpgz), and it seems to effect modded entities in that they dont seem to drop a corpse 100% of the time

Sheep doesn't produce wool on death

Everytime I kill a sheep, it just won't give me wool.

Tried unloading any mods, resource packs and datapacks, and nothing seems to happen. Sheep still wouldn't produce wool.

A fix would be appreciated.

rpgz.json5 Auto Reset in server

server: fabric 1.18.2
issue:
Automatically reset the configuration file rpgz.json5 when the server is started(Only excluded_entities are reset)
So I can't configure rpgz on the server
original:
"excluded_entities": [
"minecraft:shulker",
"bosses_of_mass_destruction:void_blossom"
]
reset:
"excluded_entities": [
"minecraft:shulker"
]
Or is it a problem with my configuration?
