githo's Issues

Undo an accidental tick.

In the current version of Githo, if an user accidentally tick the checkbox, there is no way to undo that. They would have to clear the entire progression and start over again.
My suggestion: Holding the checkbox will reset the value back to zero.

Notifications not working as expected

The notification just buzzes my phone and does not leave any visible message in the notification tab. If I miss the buzz there is no way for me to see that I was supposed to do something unless I explicitly open the app.

I have notifications enabled:

The Android notifications tab does not display anything related to the app:

I am running version 1.3.2 from F-Droid.

edit: the "rotating arrow" notification icon in the first two screenshots is from another app.

Improvement: Add option to record using boolean value.

Suggestion to add an option for habit input in the form of a Boolean value. This means that for some habits it only requires the parameter whether it has been done or not, it does not require a value for how many times it has been done in one day. For example, to create a habit of waking up early every day at 6 am, this case only requires true and false values in the morning.

Help - For french translation

Hi, I am new to git-hub.
I am here to offer my help in translating the application into french.

I don't know how to contribute (have a table in english and put the translation). I'm not into dev or code.

compiling on linux

will this work on linux? if so, what dependencies do i need to install.

Ability to activate multiple habit-plans at once

I'm currently trying to get used to work on multiple things. However the app doesn't let me activate multiple habit plans. I can just use pen and paper for example but having the ability to do this on the app would be very nice. Thank you for reading.

does this app work for "reductive" habits?

the app works for adding habits like jogging exercise etc. but for reducing bad habits like smoking, overeating, spending? let's say you want to reduce your calorie intake from 2500 to 1000 gradually?

Feature Request: Ability To Edit Progress

It would be nice to be able to record progress I made before starting the habit in the app (I did level 1 Saturday).

I'm really happy about v1.1, being able to remove false progress make the app usable for me now. I also like the of calling them levels instead of steps, I think it suits your purpose better. Have you heard of Level Up Your Life by Steve Kamb?. It's very much in line with what this app does. I've been wanting something like this for a long time. Keep up the good work!

Multiple active habits at a time.

Right now there can only be one active habit at a time. If you favorite a new habit, the progress of the currently active one will be lost. This poses a problem for users who want to work on multiple habits together.
My suggestion: Scrap the "favorite" idea altogether. All habits in the "List of habits" will be active and tracked by default. Tapping on a habit in the List of habits will bring up the progression screen. Holding the habit in the "List of habits" will bring up a hamburger menu will the choice to Edit or Delete.

[Feature request] Share/export

Hi there!
An export feature would be beneficial for users with multiple devices (or who just bought a new phone and are too lazy to rewrite the steps).

If there's an import option that doesn't override the current Plans, would it be possible to save a file with just 1 plan, so it can later be imported by another user?
(Sorry, I don't know how this works yet)

In any case, exporting/importing everything all at once would be quite handy, what do you think?

Thank you!

Can't save the Habit

If the last two levels of an habit project are empty, the project is not saved, no matter if the cursor is located un the last filled le el por how many times the green button is pressed.

AND you lost al the inputs written :\

Add dark theme

Hi, I just wanted to start off by thanking you for making such a useful app that I use almost daily! Really incredible work :)

As functional and pretty as the app's UI is, though, the interface can be quite bright when used at night, and devices with AMOLED screens would greatly benefit from having a black/AMOLED theme available to switch to. I know this would be a big undertaking, but do you have any interest in implementing additional themes in Githo? I know this will probably take a while to fully implement, so I just wanted to hear your thoughts on implementing such a feature and how feasable you think it might be.

Thanks in advance!
