dockintellihide.app's Issues

Switching between desktops

When I switch between a desktop where the dock is not hidden to one in which it must hide it automatically resizes the maximized window, before hiding the bar. Perhaps changing the delay to hide the dock is fixed :?

Thanks for the app is very useful ;)

Strange behaviour with aMule

DockIntelliHide displays strange behaviour regarding the aMule application.

First of all it does not hide the dock when the aMule window is dragged to the dock space, even though it is clear that the dock is in the way of the window.

Second, say I open another application, let's say Finder, and make Finder hide the dock by dragging it into the dock space. The dock hides, great. Then I drag Finder back out of the dock space... the aMule window in the background is pushed upwards like if the dock was forcing it out of the way!

Window auto resizes

Just found this app and I'm glad it's working on High Sierra too.
BTW I found that if I have 2 windows, the one is actually focused is small (like finder) and the other one is at full height: the dock actually shows.
When I switch window with CMD+TAB there are no problems, but if I click on the full height window, the dock does not disappears and the window is automatically resized in order to not overlap with the dock. Hence I have to move the window on the bottom of the screen to let the dock hide and then resize it to full height.
Hope I've been clear :)

Resizing window does not cause dock to hide.

I am unable to resize a window over the dock. Clicking the green plus on a window also does not resize a window beyond the dock's area.

On a similar note, BetterTouchTool also does not resize windows beyond the dock using its "Aero Snap" features.

This bug defeats the purpose of this app, as it does not reflect true intellihide behaviour.

To work around this bug I have to move a window so that the bottom side of the window overlaps with the dock's area, causing the dock to hide, and then resizing the window from its top side until it fills the height of the screen. The workaround is not feasible as it requires a lot of finicky clicking and dragging to achieve something that should be done automatically.

Launchpad fails with Dock hidden

When DockIntellihide has the Dock hidden, starting Launchpad causes the following:

  • the Dock briefly appears
  • Launchpad disappears.

It looks like this causes Launchpad to crash. The same DockIntellihide seems not responsive for some time.
