genie-slp's Issues

Files exported from SLX studio have missing frames and incomplete shadows

Here is an example that was imported into SLX studio from AOE2:DE and exported as an SLP file:

479

The shadows and some of the unit outline doesn't seem to render quite right.

There also seems to be about 10% of the frames that don't render and just turn into empty 128 byte PNG files. SLX studio seems to show all the frames and doesn't have a problem with the shadows, so I'm wondering if I've either used the wrong export options or this library has a bug related to dealing with the assets from DE specifically.

Attached is the reference SLP file (renamed to .zip):

Action required: Greenkeeper could not be activated 🚨

🚨 You need to enable Continuous Integration on all branches of this repository. 🚨

To enable Greenkeeper, you need to make sure that a commit status is reported on all branches. This is required by Greenkeeper because it uses your CI build statuses to figure out when to notify you about breaking changes.

Since we didn’t receive a CI status on the greenkeeper/initial branch, it’s possible that you don’t have CI set up yet. We recommend using Travis CI, but Greenkeeper will work with every other CI service as well.

If you have already set up a CI for this repository, you might need to check how it’s configured. Make sure it is set to run on all new branches. If you don’t want it to run on absolutely every branch, you can whitelist branches starting with greenkeeper/.

Once you have installed and configured CI on this repository correctly, you’ll need to re-trigger Greenkeeper’s initial pull request. To do this, please delete the greenkeeper/initial branch in this repository, and then remove and re-add this repository to the Greenkeeper App’s white list on Github. You'll find this list on your repo or organization’s settings page, under Installed GitHub Apps.

An in-range update of rimraf is breaking the build 🚨

The devDependency rimraf was updated from 2.6.3 to 2.7.0.

🚨 View failing branch.

This version is covered by your current version range and after updating it in your project the build failed.

rimraf is a devDependency of this project. It might not break your production code or affect downstream projects, but probably breaks your build or test tools, which may prevent deploying or publishing.

Streams API

Would consist of a few parts:

SLPParser parses an SLP file into a stream.Readables for every frame, so its output is a stream of streams. It has some convenience methods to select the frame stream you want.
FrameParser parses a frame into a stream of commands.
Renderer renders a stream of commands to a pixel-stream.

So this would allow you to do something like:

fs.createReadStream('2.slp')
  .pipe(SLPParser())
  .frame(0)
  .pipe(FrameParser())
  .pipe(Renderer())
  .pipe(PNGEncoder()) // from the png-stream module
  .pipe(fs.createWriteStream('2.png'))
