Cannot call console.log.apply in IE

Console.log is not implemented as a standard Function in IE and therefore there is no apply() available on it. See this related Stack Overflow issue.

Something along these lines would be a good start:

var consoleLog = Function.prototype.bind.call(con.log, con);
consoleLog.apply(con, ["this", "is", "a", "test"]);
//-> "thisisatest"
